Your Integrity First Bank debit card allows you to initiate both Visa and non-Visa debit transactions. Please review the important information below regarding how you can initiate each of these transactions and how they relate to your rights in our “Electronic Fund Transfers” disclosure.

Visa Debit Transactions

There are certain rights associated only with Visa transactions conducted on your card, including additional consumer liability limits and error resolution procedures as described in your “Electronic Fund Transfers” disclosure.

In order to initiate a Visa transaction on your Integrity First Bank debit card, you may be required to take one of the following actions when authorizing a transaction: sign a receipt, provide a card number over the phone or via the Internet, or swipe your card through a point-of-sale terminal.

Non-Visa Debit Transactions

In addition to the Visa network, we have enabled the following additional networks that allow you to conduct non-Visa debit transactions: STAR, Cirrus and Pulse.

Merchants in the networks listed above may have the ability to accept payments made via your Integrity First Bank debit card. These transactions may not processed Visa transactions as specified in the notice you receive from the merchant prior to initiating the transaction. Non-Visa transactions using your card are authenticated in one of the following ways:

  • entering your PIN at the time of the transaction at a point-of-sale terminal or
  • initiating a payment directly with the biller (possibly via telephone, Internet, or kiosk locations), choosing to direct payment through a non-Visa network identified by the merchant, then providing an account number or other information that is not your PIN to authorize the transaction

If a transaction is routed through a non-Visa network, the Visa provisions of your cardholder agreement (sometimes referred to as “Visa Zero Liability”) do not apply.
